The Paper-Cord chair brings craft texture to a cafe's lounge corner. Seat and back are woven by hand from natural-tone cord over a solid-wood frame, with flat wooden arms wide enough to rest a cup on. The low, reclined posture tells guests this is a place to slow down.
Woven seats breathe, look light and do not need upholstery cleaning, though they should be kept dry and away from spilled syrups that can stain natural fibers. A loose seat cushion can be added for comfort and replaced over time.
Where it works: a window lounge pair, a corner next to the retail shelf, a cafe with a Scandinavian or Japanese-inspired interior.
Fire note: woven seats are not upholstered seating in the usual sense. If your landlord or local code requires all seats to meet a specific upholstered-furniture standard, tell us at quote stage and we will advise on cushions and construction.
Options: frame stain, cord color, optional seat cushion. Pair with the Cane Drum Side Table.
